In the middle of my day, I was left alone and took that time to chill in silence. For some reason, being sick (again) put me into a sensory overload. So, I washed dishes in silence, and it really soothed my soul. Unfortunately, not my cough. The good thing is that I was able to self-regulate, contribute to my family, and bring myself peace so that my body can continue to heal itself.
What kind of things help you when you’re overstimulated?
