Writers Tip

I take two hours off for my family every day. And then I write fourteen hours.” -Brandon Sanderson

I just wanted to share that Brandon Sanderson is sharing his lectures on his YouTube channel. It’s a wealth of knowledge for fiction writers. If you haven’t heard of Sanderson, he wrote “The Stormlight Archive” and the “Mistborn” series. My husband is the fan, but he lectures well. It’s worth a listen.

Here’s his bio

“Brandon Winn Sanderson is an American author of science fiction, fantasy, and young adult novels. He studied creative writing and English literature at Brigham Young University. Sanderson is best known for his “Cosmere” fictional universe, where many of his fantasy novels take place, including “The Stormlight Archive” and the “Mistborn” series. He also completed Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series after Jordan’s death.” -Wikipedia

The first lecture is titled The Philosophy of Professional Writing

Jayne is a writer. On her free time she likes to be with her family hiking outdoors and traveling. New England is her home and place of birth. When asked what she wants to teach the world she replied, "Don't stop searching. Too many times, in my old life, I put my search aside for more 'important matters.' I didn't realize the thing I was searching for held what was most important; my soul purpose." Jayne works daily on improving her craft and at times can get down on herself, but her favorite morning mantra is "It's a new day." and that's what she strives to start with.
