Friends

“I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, strange, I am ungrateful to those teachers.” -Khalil Gibran

One thing I have thought about in the past is that people may be rude and unkind, and you may be able to forgive them and find the lesson in it. That doesn’t mean you have to allow them back into your life. Take the lesson and move forward.

With that being said, I have very few people I hang out with, and I leave my house so rarely that the friend rotation means I won’t see some people for at least half a year. I say that to say, be intentional about your friendships.

Are you the type to have a lot of friends and always hang out with them? Or less friends less often?

Jayne is a writer. On her free time she likes to be with her family hiking outdoors and traveling. New England is her home and place of birth. When asked what she wants to teach the world she replied, "Don't stop searching. Too many times, in my old life, I put my search aside for more 'important matters.' I didn't realize the thing I was searching for held what was most important; my soul purpose." Jayne works daily on improving her craft and at times can get down on herself, but her favorite morning mantra is "It's a new day." and that's what she strives to start with.
