Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!
Dr. Seuss
What a gift it is to have you. Don’t ever forget about all the unique magic you bring into this world.
A place where you can be human.

If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.
Milton Berle
Wow! Well, if that doesn’t put you into action or make you scoff at yourself for having less interest in opportunity then I don’t think you read the quote right. That makes me laugh because building a door isn’t easy, not metaphorically or in real life. It’s like saying you want freedom, get discipline. I’m laughing again. Isn’t life so ironic? What a fun house we live in. I can’t wait to see what other surprises await me in this life. I want to keep bringing joy and peace into the world. I want to keep telling people they are smart and strong and wise. And I hope that builds the door we all need to live rich and fulfilling lives.
You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
A.A. Milne
Here’s some Monday motivation. We all need a little inspiration, motivation, and hydration keep ourselves well oiled. I used to wait until the inspiration hit me. This fill my life with lack. Took away my power to create and seek out the things that inspire me. I’m different these days, but I still have to be intentional about seeking.
Our nature is to take the easiest most certain route. They teach us to chase certain things. Certain jobs. Certain incomes. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
For me, I choose the life that lights my soul on fire. I choose to thrive. I choose to seek out the things I’m curious to learn all while having discernment in one pocket and wisdom in the other. This life doesn’t have to be everyone’s cup of tea to be mine. It’s mine. It’s my own unique idea of what living looks and feels like.
There’s some days when rest is your best option and then there’s other days when the hustle and bustle of life is your only option. On the days you have the choice pick both! There are studies that show short rests or brain breaks increase productivity. When I was young, there was a point when I had three jobs. I worked at a coffee shop before school started, then a day program, and then an evening daycare when school was out. I could it and I could do it well enough to keep out of trouble and keep my head down. It’s easy if you don’t mind one bit that life’s passing you by. Those little breaks were amazing in between shift. Euphoric almost. But there was a lot I missed out on. Even today with a healthy work life balance I must prioritize things that make me miss out. I can’t imagine how much life I would have missed out on if I continued to work that way. Work is great! I love work. I love bringing home the bacon. I love when my parents are proud of the work I’m providing to this world. But at the end of the day, this life I choose to live is far more important than making those around me proud. It doesn’t feel good when everyone around me is proud while I’m not proud of myself. So, when you can improve your work life balance in a way that makes YOU PROUD of YOURSELF, take the opportunity! Make yourself proud and show up for yourself in ways that those around you never could.
What kinda things are you doing to make yourself proud?
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
Albert Einstein
I have been beyond happy with the way my life has been unfolding. I can’t help but notice all the detailed happenstances that fall into my lap. I can only hope that those around me get the chance to experience the same.
Don’t forget to tell yourself positive things daily! You must love yourself internally to glow externally.
Hannah Bronfman
I think this quote says it all. When we speak kindly to ourselves, it makes us want to be around ourselves. In turn it takes the pressure off those around us. When people don’t feel the pressure, they are more likely to feel safe. When they feel safe, they’ll trust you. All these things working together to make you the type of person people want to be around. So be kind to yourself. Watch how you bloom, and how others bloom around you.
I think it’s important to embrace people fully while you get the chance. I’m not always present especially while I’m at home. Most days, I just wanna be in my own world. At the same time, I know that sharing my world is equally as valuable as solitude.
One of the things that has really helped me understand the quality of life is motherhood. I don’t want my babies to ever have a moment where they wonder if I adore them. Mothering is hard work and I don’t want to do it alone. I do want to raise my girls in a healthy environment where success is an option for them. I want them to have an abundant life filled with love and family.
Everyone has their reasons. My mama is mine. She’s been on my team for everything. I wanna be able to support her in ways that give her a fulfilling life. When we were little she made us the best apple pancakes. I love breakfast so apple pancakes were easily one of my favs. It doesn’t have to big things that fill her life with joy. Apple pancakes for brunch might spark her joy. I guess I’ll have to look up a good recipe!
I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.
Thomas A. Edison
“I’ve fond 10,000 ways that won’t work,” sounds like a really great place to give up. Let’s reframe that. In the 10,000 ways that didn’t work, what did work?
One of my I-give-up lines is “I don’t know.” What I’ve learned to do over the years is stop myself at “I don’t know,” and rethink it. The next question I immediately follow up with is “What do you know?” You may not know the answer to one question, but I can put money on the fact that there is something else you do know. So when I read this quote, it automatically makes me stop and immediately ask, but what did work?
What’s is working in your life?
Yup, I’m sharing my favorite part from Willy Wonka again. I know I know you want new content and I swear I’m watching new movies. But this one right here has a special place in my heart. I’m sure it has a lot to do with there being a candy room and a song about ultimate freedom.
If you could, would you build a candy room?
I would!
