A More Enjoyable Challenge

Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and, above all, confidence in ourselves. We must believe we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.

Confidence in ourselves. Yes, we hear this a lot. Especially growing up, right. Then we even learn different ways to mask our insecurities and fake our confidence. Then even get that reinforced with quotes like fake it till you make it. But we get it, have confidence. Yea yea yea. Let’s read the next line because I think that’s what we need to hear in order to truly have confidence in ourselves. I’m going to re word it and put in first person to really let it sink in.

I believe I was gifted for a purpose and I must find that purpose.

There’s the insight. Confidence comes with learning to accept and invest in your gifts. With the lessons that come with investing and accepting your gifts, naturally perseverance comes for the ride.

With all that being said, I think if we focus less on all those things, and focus more on learning to allow ourselves to have the things that bring us joy, we’ll find that things get easier as we go. If not easier, we at least give ourselves a more enjoyable challenge.

Jayne is a writer. On her free time she likes to be with her family hiking outdoors and traveling. New England is her home and place of birth. When asked what she wants to teach the world she replied, "Don't stop searching. Too many times, in my old life, I put my search aside for more 'important matters.' I didn't realize the thing I was searching for held what was most important; my soul purpose." Jayne works daily on improving her craft and at times can get down on herself, but her favorite morning mantra is "It's a new day." and that's what she strives to start with.
