How you guys feeling about AI?
I enjoy the perks of it. I am intentional about not letting it write for me, but I do use it as a daily companion; it’s good for gathering my thoughts. I have a lot of those, and they are all over the place! The new option to have folders lit my fire. I also use it to make my blog feature photos, but when I’m full-time writing, I take time to sift through all the stock photos or sometimes create my own. AI, as a little judgment-free companion, works for me.

Jayne is a writer. On her free time she likes to be with her family hiking outdoors and traveling. New England is her home and place of birth. When asked what she wants to teach the world she replied, "Don't stop searching. Too many times, in my old life, I put my search aside for more 'important matters.' I didn't realize the thing I was searching for held what was most important; my soul purpose." Jayne works daily on improving her craft and at times can get down on herself, but her favorite morning mantra is "It's a new day." and that's what she strives to start with.

AI is useful to conduct research or provide prompts to stimulate creative writing. But having AI do the writing for you? Maybe business writing, but not creative writing. By design, AI is soulless. I don’t want to read something created by a soulless robot.

I feel the same. I don’t like to let AI write much for me. I don’t like the way it writes fiction. AI has a voice and it’s not mine lol. I’d use it for business but I’d prefer not to. I think we pretty much agree.

I’ve experimented with having it transform one of my stories into a screenplay. That was quite interesting.

That’s pretty cool. I haven’t tried that. But it did create a script for a podcast for me.
Maybe I’ll try and have it turn one of my short stories into a script just to see how it works.
