You should write because you love the shape of stories and sentences and the creation of different words on a page. Writing comes from reading, and reading is the finest teacher of how to write.

I needed this reminder today. I forget how much I loved experimenting with phonetic sounds, words, dark and light tones, my own syntax vs not my own. It was such an adventure. It was exciting and fun and freeing for me. This quote reminded me what used to inspire me about writing. I hope I can shift from just getting my writing done back to thisss.
