Dreams

Dreams are such an interesting thing and I’m not the only one who thinks that. They are so interesting that an entire field of psychological study is dedicated to dreams. Dreams are ancient. Which is proven because they are consistent throughout ancient Hindu and Christian texts. Dreams could inspire a single man to take down an empire or build one from nothing. Dreams change people everyday. There’s is one famous individual who focused a good portion of his research on dreams and that is psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Carl Jung. His Red Book is like a really long dream. I enjoyed reading it very much.

The question we are left live when it comes to dreams is where do they come from? Are they spiritual in nature? Are they a reality separate from our own? Are they genetic mechanisms that our brains use to enhance survival?

What do you think?

Here’s the first song that comes to mind while we talk about dreams.

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes
by Lily James

“A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you’re fast asleep
In dreams you will lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep

Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling through
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true

A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you’re fast asleep
In dreams you will lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep

Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling through
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true.”

Thank you to my good friend Craig Amborn and one of the biggest supporters of my writing for inspiring me to write this post.

Jayne is a writer. On her free time she likes to be with her family hiking outdoors and traveling. New England is her home and place of birth. When asked what she wants to teach the world she replied, "Don't stop searching. Too many times, in my old life, I put my search aside for more 'important matters.' I didn't realize the thing I was searching for held what was most important; my soul purpose." Jayne works daily on improving her craft and at times can get down on herself, but her favorite morning mantra is "It's a new day." and that's what she strives to start with.
