We’ll be wrapping up July this week, and wow! We made it!
I spent today in the sunshine planning out my next few days. Not in detail since the stay-at-home mom life requires flexibility, but just enough to inspire me. There’s a writer who says he writes just enough to keep writing the next day. That’s how I planned out my week. I just jotted down some notes and some doodles to give me some vision. I sipped my iced coffee and poured through my books as I thought about my future projects.
I found the quote:
“I stop every day right at the point where I feel I can write more. Do that, and the next day’s work goes surprisingly smoothly.” – Haruki Murakami
I didn’t finish writing anything today. Instead I did research on a new poem, and spent the balance of my time working on various household tasks.

oh fun! I like research but it can be challenging for me when it’s time to apply the research to my work. I learned the trick for showing off your research is making the reader think you just knew. Like it’s always been a part of life. lol It shouldn’t look like you researched.
And research puts me in this strange in between Like it takes me too deep for the average reader but not deep enough to teach on the matter or having the confidence to do so. It’s almost better to write what you think you know.
buut I can’t do that…. It’s a whole thing
