Writers did that to me. 🦞
The sea rushed from between their lips 🦞
and filled my mind 🦞

Jayne, I absolutely love the wonder in this. “The sea rushed from between their lips” is such a beautiful image, and it perfectly captures how stories and poems can awaken possibilities we never knew were waiting for us. Beautiful write, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛

I have to tell you Tristan that was my favorite line too. Writers shaped me from a young age. The first chapter book I finished was EB White. I was fully awakened to loss. but that wasn’t the strange part. The strange part was that I went outside to contemplate the ending (after crying over Charlette) and I kid you not a bunch of little baby spiders blew onto me from the wind. I was traumatized twice. Haha What book did you finish first?

😂 Jayne, okay…the Charlotte tears were enough, but then getting showered by baby spiders? That’s the universe saying, “Let’s really make sure this memory sticks!” 🤣 What a story! As for me, I honestly can’t remember the first chapter book I finished. I was one of those kids who always had a book in hand, so they’ve all kind of blurred together over the years. Thanks for sharing that memory…it gave me both a laugh and the creeps! That said, somewhere, Charlotte smiled from her web. 😄📚🕷️
