Tech Update

I think I’ve reached a point in my rewrite stage where I’m going to need another monitor, but what really fueled this whole idea is that I also want to try some PC gaming. I like Zelda, but I also want to try some other action-adventure games.

Learning to use two screens at work has spoiled me. I had no idea what I was missing. Computer stuff is significantly easier with more screens. So now my husband is in search of a monitor for me, and I think I’m going to transition from my trusty Surface Pro (which I love and I’m not ready to part with) to a desktop computer.

Do you have any suggestions for desktop brands, set ups or anything related?

  1. If you’re interested in gaming, you’ll have to get a gaming desktop like an Alienware, Asus or Lenovo Legion. There are both expensive and cheap models. Get one with a decent graphics card like a RTX 3070 ti or upwards and a good intel or AMD Ryzen processor. You can build your own PC these days with a superb screen, processor, etc too. PC is usually for more serious gaming. If you’re interested in fun gaming like Zelda without HD graphics, a Switch is what you need. But buying one now may not be the best option because a new version is coming out next year.
