What Can You Create?

“Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.”
― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart: Inspirational Thoughts for Living Your Best Life

There’s things that happen that are out of our control like this upcoming storm. It completely ruined my birthday plans. Completely out of my control but what I have in my control is what I can around the house to make my day more enjoyable.

We can write our stories how we desire. It can turn out to be something different once we finish but we get to decide whether it’s worth finishing or if it should be scrapped. Writing is the liberation from the limitations of this world. I believe that.

There’s so many limitations the world wants to place on us. From how we dress to the way we talk there are expectations we are expected to meet whether we want them placed on us or not. When we close the door to write those things drift away and we can sing and dance through our poetry.

When asked what she wants to teach the world she replied, "Don't stop searching. Too many times, in my old life, I put my search aside for more 'important matters.' I didn't realize it was the search that held what was most important; curiosity." Saschia works daily on improving her craft and at times can get down on herself, but her favorite morning mantra is "It's a new day." and that's what she strives to start with.
