Words as Tools

Day 38 of 50!!
I SPEAK

Today’s Affirmation: I use words as tools to develop and share my thoughts.

Most times when I’m frustrated with my writing, reaching out to a friend I trust gets me back on track. (I’m so grateful for my writing friends.) Sometimes it’s only a few words. Sometimes it’s a deep philosophical discussion. Other times when I’m in a tough spot, I try to journal about it. Either way, using my words in order to work through my thoughts has been so important throughout my writing journey.

Trust

Day 37 of 50

Today’s Affirmation: I trust that the answers are always within me.

I’m struggling with book three of my novel. Frustration is part of the process but the downward spiral is right there ready to take me down. I know what I want but I’m just really having a hard with how I want to portray it. All while bringing the whole story together. I share that to say I needed this reminder.

Sharing Your Story

Day 36 of 50
I SPEAK

Today’s Affirmation: I understand the benefit that comes with sharing my story with groups large and small.

Sharing your story with a group has so many benefits. It creates connections with people who you may have never had a chance to connect with, it allows you to release thoughts and experiences, and it helps others feel less alone.

I’m not huge fan of speaking in groups but sometimes I get the courage to get up there.

The Possibilities Are Endless!

Day 33 of 50
I SPEAK

Todays Affirmation: I don’t need to know exactly what to say in every situation.

I feel my 5th chakra confidence growing.

Now that I’ve been thinking about these affirmations for 33 days now, I find that I have more room for acceptance. My words are valuable not because they are stoic, perfect, and smooth. (Though I welcome all those things). My words are valuable because they are a tool/medium that I can use to express my authentic self. And when I can express my authentic self, I can:

  • connect better with those I love,
  • bring my thoughts to light,
  • and create worlds that can only be imagined.

What Now?
Here’s a Great Place to Start

Take time to flesh out your deeper intentions and heal your wounds. Clear intentions and healed wounds means that there’s more space for authenticity in your words and actions. Where words fail (which they often do) actions can smooth things over.

Gentle Reminder

Your throat chakra is not an island unto itself. You need all your chakras aligned. When your chakras are in alignment, or in other words, when you’re living authentically, your words and actions work together. It’s not magic. It’s hard work. It’s thoughtfulness. It’s being honest with yourself. Affirmations are not incantations. They are guides on how to change your mindset. They create new pathways in your brain to increase and allow new possibilities. It is possible to improve your communication skills. It is possible to become that motivational speaker you have always dreamed of becoming. It is possible to share things in a safe place in order to gain more understanding.

What do you dream of doing with your voice?

Two for Monday

Making up for yesterday!

We are on day 32 of 50!

Todays Affirmations:

I find talking to friends and family easy and enjoyable.

I freely express my emotions in a calm and thoughtful manner.

I’m glad I got to get these out today. I’m excited to complete 50 days. To be honest, I like exploring the 5th chakra very much but I think it would have been better to do a chakra a day for 50 days. I wonder sometimes if all this focus on the 5th chakra will be too much.
