Everyone has their reasons. My mama is mine. She’s been on my team for everything. I wanna be able to support her in ways that give her a fulfilling life. When we were little she made us the best apple pancakes. I love breakfast so apple pancakes were easily one of my favs. It doesn’tContinue reading “My Reason”

Take the Ride
Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face. Victor Hugo Tonight I went out with the intention of laughing and having fun! And it worked. One of my favorite quotes from Hunter Thompson is Buy the ticket take the Ride. We were gifted tickets to a comedy show by vets for vets.Continue reading “Take the Ride”
Faith and Friendship
“Friendship is an act of faith in both each other and the future. You don’t have to be prepared, you just have to be willing to do something.” This is what my astrology said at the end of the day. And I’m grateful for this inspiration. There’s quite a bit of uncertainty when you placeContinue reading “Faith and Friendship”
Coffee Chat
I’m exploring coffee. Today (thanks to my amazing coworker) I got to try Mardi Gras King Cake flavored coffee. Community Coffee makes this flavor. I brewed a fresh cup and added Silk’s Vanilla creamer over the top. It was a lighter roast than I prefer but it was sweet. And look the packaging is soContinue reading “Coffee Chat”
For Those of Us Who Were the Quiet Kids
I know you know but you keep quiet to keep the peace. I know you know because you’re an observer which has served you well. Respect your mind and the unique ways that it does its thing. I have to share it because there’s always room for romantic love poetry. THE TRUELOVEby David Whyte There is aContinue reading “This Poem Reminded Me How Love Feels”

Part One Grace is a leadership quality we don’t talk about very much but it just might be the most important one as we enter the newest unknown. Jill Griffin, I write about jobs, careers, board service, and the workplace. I got an ad on my news feed from Disney Institute that said, “Optimize yourContinue reading “Why Grace for Our Service Members and Their Families”
Naps on Saturday
I got to spend my saturday doing whatever I wanted! I haven’t had a completely free day in forever! So I definitely took the first nap I’ve taken in a long time. Makes me laugh because after all the years of miscarrying and needing to sleep, I’m relishing in all this extra energy I have.Continue reading “Naps on Saturday”
Look Deep
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. Albert Einstein I like this quote reminds me of both Henry David Thoreau and the Alchemy quote, “As above so below.” Einstein has a lot of great quotes. This one I hope stays in my memory as a reminder for so many things.
