I’m going to try to play with poetry again. I will be posting my poetry on Medium.com. A few triggers have inspired me to play with words again. We’ll see how it goes. I’m trying to gauge my level of commitment, and it’s probably about one poem a week. I don’t want to be famousContinue reading “Poetry is Fun”

Phenomenal Woman BY MAYA ANGELOU Pretty women wonder where my secret lies. I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size But when I start to tell them, They think I’m telling lies. There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it. Edith Wharton Wooow! I love this quote!! And so of course I had to look up who Edith Wharton was. Soul vs Spirit
Soul is your inner self in relation to the creator. For some the creator might be God, Cosmic, or the term that you can best appreciate. Spirit is more related to who you are on this plane. For example I often hear people say, “She has a youthful spirit, or He has a spirit depressionContinue reading “Soul vs Spirit”

It’s important to have solitude while you write and think and create, but it’s equally important to include othersContinue reading “Over the Next Week”
Get Perspective
I’ve been talking about writing groups for a couple days now so I thought tonight would be a good night to share another writers input on writing groups. Author Joani Elliott says something I love. She says,”Writing can be a lonely endeavor and a good writing group can help provide needed strength, feedback and perspectiveContinue reading “Get Perspective”
A Message From My Child
“And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.’” Matthew 18:3 This weekend I had such an inspiring message sent through my little one. Let me tell you, I saw this woman’s conference and I had to go. I signed up, followed allContinue reading “A Message From My Child”
Sunday Solitude
I’d say today was a successful solitude. Stopped at a coffee shop and read my book, did some meditating, took a nap, thought about hiking but read some more instead. It never feels like I have enough time to read but Sundays are the perfect day for me to get some reading in.
