5th Chakra for 50 Days

I Speak

These affirmations are starting to grow on me. My voice is strong and I use it wisely. It’s great to have a strong voice.

Gentle Reminder

Affirmations are a great tool that can help create a positive mindset and build self-confidence, but they’re most effective when paired with action. While you use affirmations make sure you practice mindfulness. Pay attention to your thoughts and feelings throughout the day. Take time to use affirmations to counter negative self-talk and cultivate a more positive internal dialogue.

Day 9 Complete ✅

I Speak

Day 8

Today’s affirmation is: The truth sets me free.

How do you feel when you finally get something out of your head and spoken out loud in a safe space. I don’t know how you feel but for me it’s like one less thing I have to mull over. Frees up space in my mind so I can focus more my present. This is why safe spaces are so important. Imagine how free we’d all feel if we had a safe place to speak about our thoughts without shame. A place where we could walk in with a burden, and out with a clear mind.

How can we be more intentional about creating spaces that set people free?

5th chakra for 50 days Day 6

I Speak

Today’s affirmation is: I speak my truth.

I like how today’s affirmation is about my truth. My truth is something that may look different than my neighbors. This affirmation is not to be confused with the phrase, “I speak the truth.” My truth is in relation to the purpose and path I’m choosing to walk. That means that my truth may change and evolve with more experience.

Let’s get some tips from Bard on how to speak my truth

Here are some points to consider:

  • It’s not about being “right”: Your truth is your own, and it doesn’t necessarily have to align with objective facts or other people’s perspectives. It’s about owning your experience and expressing it authentically.
  • It’s a journey, not a destination: Speaking your truth is an ongoing process, and it might get easier with practice. You might not always feel comfortable doing it, but the more you do it, the more confident you might become.
  • It can be challenging: Speaking your truth can be scary, especially if you fear judgment or rejection. However, it can also be incredibly liberating and empowering.

Ultimately, what it means to “speak your truth” is up to you. It’s a personal journey of self-discovery and expression. The important thing is to be true to yourself and find ways to authentically share your experience with the world.

Thanks Bard!!

So what do you think about this affirmation? Do you know what your truth is? Do you speak it?

The 5th Chakra is the throat chakra and is called Vishudda. According to Healthline.com, it is connected to communication and speaking your inner truth.

What’s a Chakra?

Chakras are energy centers in the body that are said to regulate emotions. We have have seven of them. I like to think of our charkas as pulsing from the flow energy that runs through them. What’s important to know is that some situations may cause our chakras to become over active while other situations may cause a blockage in our chakras. Our chakras should wax and wane, what they shouldn’t be is in a consistent state of being blocked or of being overactive. It causes damage to our bodies and takes away from the energy that should be going to other chakras.

Today’s affirmation is:

It’s easy for me to communicate my thoughts.

As writers we know the complexity that comes with trying to share a vision we have in our heads. Maybe it’s not as hard as we think?

What helps when learning to communicate our thoughts is conversation, maybe even a little Socratic seminar, and mentors! Communicating my thoughts gets easier when I think about them, journal about them, and especially when I’m brave in sharing them.

Here’s four things that are part of communication that we might forget

  • listening
  • body language
  • silence
  • creative expression

Now that I finished this post, maybe getting my thoughts across is easier than I think?

Today’s Question

In what experiences do you think your thoughts came through the clearest?

Day 1

I, like many others, have social anxiety. So over the next few weeks I thought it would be fun to work on improving different ways I can use my voice. I’m going to start by giving myself an affirmation daily that focuses on the 5th chakra.

Today’s affirmation is:

It is safe for me to use my voice.

Today’s Affirmation

Amazing opportunities exist for me in every aspect of my life.

It’s important to remember that affirmations are not a magic bullet. Here’s the important part. —> They work best when combined with other self-improvement strategies like setting realistic goals, taking action, and practicing self-compassion.

How affirmations work? Heeyy Bard, Fill us in.

Affirmations work through a combination of psychological and neurological mechanisms, influencing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in several ways

I’m so grateful for Bard.

Here are some tips for maximizing the effectiveness of affirmations:

  • Make them personal and specific: Focus on qualities you genuinely want to cultivate or goals you strive towards.
  • Use present tense and positive language: Instead of “I will be confident,” say “I am confident and capable.”
  • Repeat them consistently: Aim for daily practice, even if it’s just for a few minutes.
  • Believe in their power: Approaching affirmations with a positive and open mind increases their impact.
  • Focus on feeling: Imagine the emotions you want to experience when saying affirmations.
