Characters can make or break our novel. That’s why it’s important to find time to focus on your characters. An underdeveloped character can take away from a well-developed world and can lose your readers’ attention. It can be daunting to think about how much we have to do in our stories, but it doesn’t haveContinue reading “Character Development”

Character Development
Yesterday, I shared about how important drive and motivation is for Character Development. Today the important thing to focus on is your character’s relationships. How does your character interact with people pets or aliens? Are they shy aggressive nonchalant? Are their reactions consistent and how does their character arch impact their relationships throughout the story?Continue reading “Character Development”
Character Development Part 2
Character development part 2 is here! Last Character Development post, I talked about how it is important to give your characters flaws. This time I’d like to discuss something new. We all have our own beliefs and values, even if you haven’t taken time to hash the out yet. This should also be reflected inContinue reading “Character Development Part 2”
Rise Above
It’s not always easy but when you can, rise above the negativity. This takes extra effort during high pressure times. It’s very easy to get swayed one way or another especially emotionally. When things get chaotic around you, focus on your values and your disciplines. Let everything else fall to the wayside.

Accept all the notes, blurbs, and creative writing cravings that need to be released. They are all one more addition to the masterpiece. SometimesContinue reading “Just Keep Writing”
Hot Summer
It’s been a hot summer. I’m not complaining about it. I have appreciated wearing dresses and taking a couple dips in the pool. Today’s Lesson
Encouraging those around you is a gift. It’s ok to be that person that reminds people of how great and worthy they are. Especially if you’re willing to accept the truth. Those tiny truths that can easily throw off our entire day. The big ones that derail our lives. The fragility that humanity comes with.Continue reading “Today’s Lesson”
Successful Four-Day!
My four-day has come to an end. To celebrate a great four day, I took an extra long day of solitude. Before my day even started my oldest made cookies!! They were so good. I had a cup of coffee then I ran a couple errands. I’m still in search of a keyboard. I thoughtContinue reading “Successful Four-Day!”
