Bad Thoughts

abstract-1851074_1280.jpg

They trickle in
underneath the floor boards

Like a plague sent by Moses

These aren’t the crippling ones

they’re the ones
that make you crave
spoiled milk

When you least expect it
they make you question
if spoiled milk is really spoiled

The dew on the leaves drip
drip drip
lifting you beneath the leaves
And you float Atop the flooding stream
Floating drifting into something serene

Then it finds you there

It’s there again

Knives on necks and
Ares thrashing your
insides like an erupting
orgasm

No, this

is irrational
Think. montra.
Montra Montra

“I am a beautiful universe”

“I am light and love”

Love down a scented lane
of rosebuds and the voice of a violin
in the distance. A cool breeze soothes
my damp skin. There she is dancing
to the rhythm I wish would hold me closer
to its bosom.

There’s my girl becoming one
with the ocean. This motion is an escape from
the plagues that live beneath the floor boards

Odilon Redon

“The sense of mystery is a matter of being all the time amid the equivocal, in double and triple aspects, and hints of aspects (images within images), forms which are coming to birth, or which will come to birth according to the state of mind of the observer.”

-Odilon Redon, Notes to Himself

The place we go to find ourselves is often the place we fear the most. We procrastinate and put that place where we dwell on hold for when life gets easier and when things feel more comfortable. The only thing is we as humans hide pieces ourselves in the most uncomfortable places.

To Do’s

Here’s some poetry only a writer could love. An example of my love hate relationship with editing. But it must be done!

To Do’senglish-2787010_1280

Can you backspace

Center space

Use less commas

But add one here,

Double space and

Don’t forget

1 inch Indent and margins

And of course

Know your genre

Characters and places

This way that way

By the way

Great story!

Freedom in the circle

woman-3106209_1280

Yes, there’s freedom there

but not from the flesh and never from grave

all your rules and discrepancies are DECLINED

but don’t expect a polite refusal.

when your cards fall short be prepared to be hounded

intellectual freedom,

whispering demons

narcissistic inequality,

teeth in your decaying flesh and hands around your neck

escape artists banging down your door

fuzzy vaginas dicks short and shriveled

The narrow walk through the eye of the needle

Yes, there’s freedom there

but not from the flesh and never from grave

Up and coming collection titled:’

Oppressed Delinquents

“When oppressed humans aren’t given the proper tools to fight, they find their own, whether you agree with it or not.”

She is

She’s got magic under her fingertips

waiting to be unleashed

She glances up

and manipulates the entire sea

when she cries

a black hole of sadness warps everything in her path.

When she’s happy as a Daisy the waters recede

which could cause drought for days and days

the pendulum swings from her to I

causing down pours and sunny days

seasons placed in the hands of her feelings

16 things that are part of the creative process

These are in no particular order. And are all tiny pieces that go into creating a masterpiece. “Creating a masterpiece” can be a general term, but ideally the whole thing is a process. Here’s a few things I feel go into my own writing-a-masterpiece process.

  1. Talking with like-minded people
  2. Going on adventures
  3. Curiosity
  4. Focus
  5. Determination
  6. Innovation
  7. Rest
  8. Solitude
  9. Meditation
  10. Music
  11. Research and self study
  12. Differing opinions/ contradiction
  13. That one thing that keeps you going
  14. Experimentation
  15. Mistakes
  16. and for me Tea

Last week’s list

6 reasons why you should write today.

She’s deep though

woman-3075710_1280

(Before she rids all things beauty)

There she was dressed to the T

Name brand from head to toe: Jeans snug, just a kiss of cleavage showing

She’s mastered the art of beauty

Because she’s terrible at everything else and her mind’s not like the others

She hides behind mesmerizing curves, and charms, and niceness

Why?

because not many have the time to navigate her thoughts

Her true ideas, overthought, are usually rejected.

Her ability to make sense doesn’t come as easy as

tight shirts, fitted pants, and a nice purse
